Descripción
Mapeflex Firestop 1200 ° C is a soft emulsion paste that forms a rigid grout when the water contained in it has evaporated. When applying large quantities, fresh paste may be required in the hardened layer.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Mapeflex FireStop 1200°C should be applied and allowed to dry at room temperature and then the substrate should be gradually warmed after at least 24 hours to +23°C
- Mapeflex Firestop 1200°C is a rigid, non-deformable grout made from sodium silicate and special mineral fillers and is completely free of dangerous toxic substances, such as asbestos.
- When completely hardened, Mapeflex Firestop 1200°C is a class A1 non-combustible product according to EN 13501.
- When Mapeflex Firestop 1200 ° C comes into contact with fire or heat, it does not increase in volume
- Mapeflex Firestop 1200°C is odorless and solvent-free
IMPORTANT NOTICES
- Do not apply to dusty or crumbly surfaces
- Do not apply on surfaces with standing water or rising capillary humidity. Wet substrates can be tolerated
- Do not apply to joints subject to cyclic movements
- Do not use on surfaces exposed to frequent contact with rainwater or high levels of humidity.
- Wear protective gloves and glasses when handling the product.
- Remove traces of excess sealant immediately after smoothing it with a damp sponge
- The different masses in the first volume of extruded product do not compromise the effectiveness of the sealant
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
- Mapeflex Firestop 1200°C is a rigid, fast-setting, one-component, asbestos-free, high-temperature and fume-free, fire-resistant, silicate and refractory sealing grout.
- Ideal for making rigid seals on chimneys, ovens, radiators, barbecues, smoke ducts and fire walls. It is also suitable for pointing or installing layers in refractory bricks when constructing or carrying out maintenance work on elements in continuous and permanent contact with flames or heating up to + 1200° C, with temporary maximum temperatures up to + 1600 °C
Some application examples
Rigid grouting of joints, for missing areas and installation layers for new elements in contact with flames or at very high temperatures during service. It is most frequently used for the following applications:
- ovens
- chimneys
- radiators
- barbecues
- smoke ducts
- rigid firestop joints
Adheres to all porous and absorbent substrates after the contact surface has been cleaned and moistened with water
