Adesilex P22 from Mapei is a ready-to-use paste adhesive with zero vertical slip and long open time for ceramic tiles (adhesive thickness up to 5 mm)
CHARACTERISTICS
- Adesilex P22 is an adhesive in aqueous dispersion based on acrylic resin, mineral fillers with controlled granulometry and various additives.
- Adesilex P22 is ready to use and comes in the form of a viscous paste, easily applicable even vertically, with a particularly long open time.
- The tile, once laid, adheres immediately, even vertically thanks to its excellent initial adhesion
- The hardening of Adesilex P22 occurs by the evaporation of the water it contains until it becomes considerably flexible and forms an excellent adhesion that resists all types of vibrations and deformations of construction materials.
- The water resistance of Adesilex P22, although good, is lower than that of cement-based hydraulic adhesives.
TO IMPORTANT NOTICES
Do not use Adesilex P22 in the following cases:
- for outdoor or continuous immersion applications (swimming pools, tanks, etc.);
- on metal supports;
- for laying non-absorbent ceramic tiles on non-absorbent supports;
- for laying natural stone, especially if they are calcareous in nature with a faint color (e.g. Carrara marble).
In this case, use the specific product from the Mapei range.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
- Interior adhesion of ceramic tiles and mosaics of all types on walls, ceilings and also on deformable supports.
- Point adhesion of insulating materials such as expanded polystyrene and polyurethane, rock and glass wool, eraclit, expanded cement elements, sound-absorbing panels, etc.

- Absorbent tiles on concrete walls, prefabricated or made on site.
- Tiles on plaster plaster, sprayed plaster, prefabricated plaster panels.
- Tiles on walls in laminated plaster (plasterboard).
- Tiles on painted walls.
- Absorbent tiles over old tiles.
- Large format tiles on walls.
- Assembly of insulating panels on plaster.
- Installation of expanded polystyrene ceilings.
Adhesion of insulating materials
- Spot placement of foam materials: 0.5-0.8 kg/m2
- Placement of foam-cement elements: 1.5 kg/m2
- Installation on rough surfaces 2.5 kg/m2
